The Dome of the Rock is a religious landmark in Jerusalem that has great significance to Muslims, Christians, and Jews alike. Constructed in 691 AD, the building's golden dome is prominently visible from across the city. It wasn't until after the Crusaders had invaded Jerusalem that the building was converted into a Christian church.
